How We Rate: 100+ Data Points Behind Every Score
Every casino on our platform is evaluated across 100+ individual parameters — from license strength and T&C fairness to payout speed, bonus value, payment options, UX quality, and real player reviews. No guesswork, no paid placements — just data.
What We Measure — And How
Every casino is scored across six independent metrics. Each one measures something different, uses different data sources, and is calculated by its own formula. Here's exactly what goes into every score.
Trust & Reliability Score
Evaluates a casino's licensing strength, Terms & Conditions fairness, and customer support — the three pillars of trust.
Each license jurisdiction has an individual weight assigned by our analysts based on regulatory oversight, consumer protection strength, dispute resolution mechanisms, and audit requirements. Higher weight = stronger consumer protection.
The casino's license score equals the highest weight among all its verified licenses. Multiple licenses don't stack — only the strongest one counts.
Our automated parser scans every casino's Terms & Conditions for red and yellow flags. Score starts at 100 — penalties are subtracted for each issue found.
We save a full snapshot of every casino's T&C weekly. When terms change, we automatically re-scan and update the score. Historical snapshots are stored so we can track how terms evolve over time.
Customer support is scored as a simple checklist of 5 equally weighted flags. Each flag is worth 20 points (total = 100). We manually verify each one for every casino.
Formula: (number of flags met ÷ 5) × 100 = CS Score
Fair Bonuses Score
Measures the real, withdrawable value of casino bonuses — not just the flashy number on the banner.
Best welcome bonus (or best of any type if none). Each individual bonus is scored, then one brand-level FBS is computed.
We break down the actual monetary value of each bonus into weighted components. Each component is scaled 0–100 using its own best/worst thresholds. Only fields that are present contribute — missing data doesn't drag the score down.
All monetary bonus values (bonus cap, min deposit, max cashout, max bet, free spin value) are automatically converted to AUD before scoring. When a bonus is denominated in a different currency (e.g. USD, EUR, BTC), the system applies the current exchange rate to ensure a fair, apples-to-apples comparison. Exchange rates are fetched weekly by our automated pipeline and stored per currency, so scores always reflect up-to-date market conditions.
Bonus conditions determine whether you'll actually be able to withdraw winnings. We evaluate wagering difficulty, cashout limits, bet restrictions, minimum deposit, and how much time you get to meet the requirements.
The same wagering multiplier can be much harder depending on what it's applied to. We multiply the stated wagering by a difficulty coefficient to get the effective wagering requirement.
Example: 30x on Deposit + Bonus (×2.0) = effective 60x wagering. Same 30x on Bonus only (×1.0) = effective 30x.
Fixed penalty points are subtracted from the score when certain conditions apply. Missing wagering data triggers a completeness penalty — hiding terms is a red flag.
Bonus type multipliers — final adjustment by bonus category:
Payout Speed Score
How fast your winnings actually reach your account — from withdrawal request to money in hand.
Each casino's payout speed is mapped to a score. The fastest available payout method determines the score.
Payment Convenience Value
Scores the breadth and quality of deposit & withdrawal options available to Australian players.
Each payment method is classified into tiers based on popularity and relevance for Australian players. Higher tiers contribute more points.
Casinos supporting PayID for both deposit and withdrawal get an extended scoring cap of up to 80 points total.
UX & Mobile Score
Measures how smooth, fast, and intuitive the casino experience is on both desktop and mobile.
We run Google Lighthouse audits weekly on every casino's pages (mobile strategy). Core Web Vitals directly affect the score.
Our UX analysts test every casino on iOS and Android, grading navigation clarity, game search, and registration friction.
Customer Reviews Aggregated
Combines player ratings from CasinoAudit and independent review platforms into a single weighted score that reflects real player experiences.
CRA is a weighted combination of two independent data sources: player reviews submitted directly to CasinoAudit and ratings collected from major independent review platforms across the internet.
CRA = ( 5 × InternalScore + 95 × ExternalScore ) / 100
If one source has no data (e.g. no internal reviews yet), the remaining source automatically takes 100% of the weight.
Players rate casinos directly on CasinoAudit on a scale of 1–100. The internal score is the simple average of all eligible ratings. This score is then capped based on how many reviews exist — a casino with just 1 or 2 reviews cannot reach the maximum score, regardless of how high the ratings are.
InternalScore = min( avg(ratings), volume_cap )
To prevent a single 100/100 review from giving a casino a perfect score, we cap the internal score based on the total number of eligible reviews. As more real players leave reviews, the cap increases.
We collect ratings from independent review platforms to get a broader picture of player satisfaction. Each platform uses its own scale (some use 1–5, others 1–10 or 1–100), so we normalize every rating to a 0–100 range before averaging.
ExternalScore = avg( source_rating / scale_max × 100 )
External sources tracked (7):
New sources are discovered and added automatically as they become available. Not every casino will have ratings on every platform.
External platform ratings may be subject to inaccuracy of up to 10% due to differences in rating scales, review moderation policies, and update frequency. These ratings are provided for reference and should not be treated as exact measures.
What the Numbers Mean
Every casino receives a score from 0 to 100. Here's how to interpret that number and what each range says about a casino's quality and reliability.
Exceptional across every metric. These casinos consistently deliver fast payouts, fair bonuses, strong licensing, and excellent player experience.
Very strong overall. Minor weaknesses in one or two areas, but reliable choice for most players.
Solid casino with clear strengths but also some noticeable gaps. Check metric breakdown carefully.
Meets basic standards but doesn't stand out. Typically has average bonuses and acceptable payout times.
Notable weaknesses in multiple areas. May have slow payouts or restrictive bonus terms.
Significant issues across most metrics. Not recommended.
